Thanks everyone, including those that reached out via PM. Much appreciated. I really enjoyed holding it in my surgically scrubbed clean hands, reading the edge lettering, thinking about the War of 1812, what times must have been like and then thinking that I only need one more coin to complete the 1812 Mint Set. image It is my oldest coin by a large margin.

30 was my knee-jerk first reaction. I love the surface originality!
But the reverse rim issues at 12 o'clock are disturbing, so I feel better calling it 25.
    When in doubt, don't.

Yup, I was kinda wondering if that rim issue would keep it from grading and wanted to
see what others had to say before bringing it up.

The reverse rim "issue" is probably an as made guido.

Love the crust and old dirt! Love the price even more.

Looks like it has the 2nd die crack for O.105a.

Thanks everyone. I hope my kids will get some joy out of these things one day.
I almost feel compelled to finish off the 1812 Mint Set since it only requires one more coin.
    Maybe one day? image
