The color is pretty wild on this circ Bustie, but is it too wild?

I like her, but what will PCGS say?

The blue toning could be suspect.

Nice, but some of it looks a little too blue for my taste.

Looks good to me. If they are going to BB it they should provide a plausible doctor treatment that caused it.

I believe it would grade as problem-free.

I like it. I have seen many coins in old Anacs holders with that exact look.
I always wondered if it was from the holder.

Nice toning on that 1812 Brian. I don't think you'd have any problem selling that one, especially if PCGS puts it in a non details holder.

Good luck with the submission image

Pretty much expected as secondary album toning. Should grade out as TomB said.

That should grade out just fine.

Looked okay to me before I read the responses. You should be fine; I would be surprised to see it bag for color.

I think it has a pretty good chance at being market-acceptable.

Acceptable to me, in any event. Looks very nice. image

I say it is market acceptable but something is causing me concern, I don't know what. Re toned after old cleaning, it is the heights of the colors that is bugging me as I have been looking at to many Morgans as of late and these tone differently. I do like the coin andthe blue color is appealing at least to my eyes.

I vote a problem free grade -- however it might take 2 submissions (just for a little added torture).

I personally think that color pattern would be very hard to cook.

And I think the coin is absolutely fantastic looking.

That looks to be toning from storage either in a paper envelope or album (most likely).

Assuming there are any other problems with the coin you can't see in the photo it should pass just fine. Another words it isn't the color that will fail it, IMO.

Looks like a nice circ coin that spent some time in an old Wayte Raymond holder. That looks like classic WR album toning. Definitely market acceptable and a nice coin. Congrats.

I think your coin is fine.
I've got an 1814 with wilder toning than that, and I know for a fact in came from sitting for years in an old drawer.
If I posted it on here, most everyone would flame it as AT. Heck I'd call it AT myself if I didn't know the history on it.
For whatever reason, these busties just seem to tone up pretty in the right environment, much more easily so than say
    a walker.

Maybe it is and maybe it isn't. But, I think it's beautiful and I also think it'll grade just fine. Nice pick up!!

I think that this coin will get a grade, but I don't think that it is worth enough send in for grading. To me it is a Choice VF coin, and as such it's worth less than $200.

I am suspicious of the way the blue shows on this one. The sequence of colors from the center of the coin out, appears to be off. For the grade, PCGS may well grade the coin. It is pretty.

Obverse has a definite WR album look, as mentioned above. Reverse gives me a little cause for concern. The blue all the way into the shield somehow doesn't seems right. Pretty coin either way, I like it regardless.

Probably worth a bit more than $200...Brian hasn't said what he paid though.
If it grades at PCGS the value will go up enough to cover the grading fees and then some IMO, plus it makes it an easier sell.

Late date CBH in VF, then I'd agree with you....an awful lot of those around, and the plastic won't help nearly so much.

Well I definitely learned from this thread.

When I first saw it, I was suspicious about the blue around the perimeter of the portrait, eagle and scroll.
I thought it looked like a funny shade of blue, recent toning clinging to a relatively recent cleaning.

That doesn't mean that I don't like the CBH.
I do, but I would have put it in the nice but problem category.

Based on the unanimous approval by others, it looks like you're in the clear. image

He may be in the clear for the toning, but what about the surfaces? I really can't tell if they are market acceptable from the provided images. image

I think the patina looks fine. Looks like a vf meat bustie perhaps with XF luster.

I'd have paid $200 for her in a heartbeat.
