Hmmm... I think there's still some meat on that bone. It's too close to call.

  • Would not be surprised if it came back Fair. Host is seems fair(ly) consistent on Morgans (not my focus).
I have seen PCGS bust coins that look far worse and were Fair.

There is still one lower grade available. Counterfeit.

Send it to CAC to see if it gets the gold bean.

ANACS almost got it right. The holder should say PO 1 BU. The "U" would be for ugly.image

“I believe in intuitions and inspirations. I sometimes feel that I am right. I do not know that I am. When two expeditions of scientists, financed by the Royal Academy, went forth to test my theory of relativity, I was convinced that their conclusions would tally with my hypothesis. I was not surprised when the eclipse of May 29, 1919, confirmed my intuitions. I would have been surprised if I had been wrong.”

“Then you trust more to your imagination than to your knowledge?”

“I am enough of the artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”

If I had a '1' I'd want it to look exactly like that. Excellent example.

I guess I disagree with previous posters - I feel it will get a 2 at PCGS
the reverse is a 1, but the obverse is a 2 and obverse trumps reverse at PCGS

To get a 1 at PCGS you need less than half the date showing AND all the letters on the periphery

    Heritage example

I guess I don't even have to mention the elephant in I feel the coin on ebay is listed 4-5 times its worth.
