NEWP from FUN via David Kahn, and my first coin with a sticker

Walkerguy21DWalkerguy21D Posts: 12,136 ✭✭✭✭✭
First I must say, all those on the forum who have spoken highly of David Kahn in the past were right on the mark.
He and his side kick forum member TPRC are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and easy to work with.

This coin is a nice upgrade from my XF40. David had two AU 19P walkers - which is two more than anyone else on the FUN bourse had. I don't recall even seeing any XF coins for that matter. The AU58 was also a very nice coin, but I liked the natural surfaces and strike on this coin,
and it was priced substantially lower than the 58.

You really should avoid David Kahn ...

... until I have had a chance to view his coins first! image

David is a real gentleman and very knowledgable about coins ... especially Bust halves.

He is one of those rare dealers from whom you can unabashedly buy coins sight unseen.

Super nice coin! I did see that one the first day I was there. Fortunately I collect in the VF-XF range so no danger of me snatching that one up before you, unlike the 1817 15 stars large cent. image

David Kahn is one of the best in the business for sure, there are definitely some other dealers that could takes their cues from him.

Very Nice, congratulations on the coin and adding your first green bean to your collection.

Be careful though, I used to think I didn't need a green bean on my coins.
Held that way of thinking right up until I got my first one.
Now I find myself seeking them out.......and mumbling something about "my precious"

Sweet Walker---Congrats, Greg. The surfaces look good. 1919 is a tough year in grades XF and higher. Nice to have a green bean, too. Tougher to find nice coins these days w/o CAC stickers.

Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍
