Believe it or not, I finally bought a 37-D 3 Legs Buffalo for my collection (pics inside)

These things have been up/down in price over the years, and it seems right now they are getting cheaper and cheaper every week.

Don't want to time the bottom of the market so decided given all the wonderful examples becoming available I might finally find something that matches my taste/look and price point.

Pulled the trigger on this one...had to image it right away. Thought I'd share.

PS. I lost out on the AU58 that just sold at Legend's sale but the price was way over what I would have paid and I put in a strong bid. By divine intervention I stumbled on to this guy image

This is the first example I've seen that is attractive in AU!

    Nice snag.

I'm literally pinching myself ... Forget about grade, it's so clean / not hacked up and no smeg on the surface.

I've only waited 10+ years... image

I've sold four of these in PCGS plastic, all in various stages of AU and they all were lackluster and boring.

If it had been any other date but this variety they'd have been in the CoinStar return tray with no takers.

    Yours is a masterpiece.

    W O W !!

    nice coin

    50?

has the look of a higher numerical grade.

good job, the wait certainly paid off.

Really a nice looking example and tempting me to think about upgrading the one in my set. Don't know what it grades, but I bought an NGC-55 for a quick flip once that was nowhere near as pretty as yours.

    Big congrats!

Exceptional eye appeal, no distractions at all.

That should have gold beaned, imho, but who really cares. image

  • WOW!!!! That is one of the best 3 leggers I have ever seen. The toning is fantastic and again this shows that your eye for quality coins is of superior/PQ ability. I would also say that this buff is a higher grade than what is listed. like someone else stated that rear leg is missing some material also but IMO does not detract from the coin at all. I am thinking it should have had a gold bean but then I am partial to these. Happy holidays and again what a very nice find.

Great eye appeal, and from the images it looks to be deserving of a higher grade. Excellent example of why perseverance and discrimination in what you buy will pay off, every time.

    Pretty coin.

I obviously can't grade these. image

I'm not a fan of the 3-legger, but I've got to say that's a fine looking piece for the grade.

Nice! Congrats on "taking the plunge"!

While I don't necessarily support the pricing structure on these coins, its always nice when someone decides that they absolutely have to have one for their collection.

Because they are not really rare. Same camp as the 09-S VDB. They just have the aura of being rare.

Technology is simply amazing! I was able to edit out a good number of slab streaks and then crop/mat the coin on to the new backdrop I developed. It looks a lot better on the matting instead of the streaky/banged up slab. I can't edit out everything that the streaky slab projects on to the coin, but got enough to make the streaks less noticeable.

Really nice example over all. Luster looks a mile away from one grade over XF but I can understand to 50 grade based on wear and hits.

You have a very nice coin. Now you can put this to bed and focus on more significant collection issues.
