Time for another CircCam thread

Post some more CircCams!
For the uninitiated, "CircCam" is short for "Circulation Cameo" (or "Circulated Cameo", if you prefer). This is a coin with darker fields and lighter devices, sort of like a Cameo proof, but as a result of circulation to the higher points of the design.
When we discuss CircCams, we're usually discussing silver coins. There are, however, some copper and nickel CircCams out there, though it is difficult to find appealing examples.
Here is a copper CircCam. In hand, the surfaces are not nearly so granular as they appear in the photo.
I considered this coin to be problem free for the purposes of my last album collection.

It is also my October giveaway coin.
Post once to this thread if you'd like to be entered.
And post your CircCams (copper or otherwise) here!
(I've never seen a gold CircCam. That has to be a rare bird indeed.)

I'd like to find a nice VF+ Draped Bust half with good CircCam contrast. They're out there.
it'd kinda be neat if a respected grading outfit would label them for what they are too
this can probably sneak in under such designation...it's kinda on a border...i'd think it'd be a just miss cir-cam
but wanted and am happy to contribute to your thread sir
Most of My Capped Bust Half Set followed the circ cam theme, the above example is my favorite in my set.

Thanks
That 1853o is beautiful.

I think practically every piece posted here so far epitomizes what a circulated coin should look like.
@lasvegasteddy: in belated response to your 1827 dime in post #5, I'd say that one isn't a "just missed" CircCam. It makes the cut, even if it isn't a "black and white" CircCam, contrast-wise.
Since it seems I'm upholding the difficult task of posting the non-silver CircCams here so far, why not an ancient bronze "DirtCam"?
Troas, Birytis: bronze AE8, ca. 300 BC.
Obverse: head of Kabeiros.
Reverse: a club (maybe Hercules' club?)
From a lost ancient city in Asia Minor, known only by its coinage today.
Not a bad little coin for 26 bucks, eh?
PS- @kaz: let me know if you ever wanna sell that 1807 DB half, OK?
Love that '53-O A&R half, too!
And again, everybody else's contributions are awesome.
Maybe one day I need to write the definitive article on CircCams for The Numismatist, eh? If I ever do, I may wanna borrow some pix from some of y'all.
<< <i>RYK had a gold circ-cam VG Dahlonega $5 he might post. >>
I'd still love to see that.
In honor of "dirty gold" and gold CircCams, I will post today's newp:
Netherlands (Gelderland): "St. John" type gold gulden (florin) of Arnold van Egmond, ca. 1423-1472
Obverse: St. John the Baptist, standing and facing, "S.IOHANNES-BABTISTA" (lion).
Reverse: coats of arms, "+ DVX.ARNOLD'.GEL.Z.IVL.Z.COMIS.Z."
And a recent change find...
Trying to be more active round here nowadays.
Funny, I don't recall ever seeing a CircCam silver Roosie before. Guess I never really looked for one.
RUHT ROH
changing up and posting a dirtcam in a circam giveaway...hmmm...pressing tha 10 day envelope
pretty risky lordmarcovan
let me consult giveaway rules i was issued...as i fear for your well-being my friend
The DirtCam wasn't the giveaway.
(Well, actually it was, in a way... on eBay. And the lucky winner who "stole" it has yet to pay for it.)
The giveaway WAS a Liteside coin, and that's signed, sealed, and delivered (well, shipped, anyway) now.
Keep the CircCam crustiness comin', y'all!
That 71 half of mine actually came from my wife's grandfathers meager collection. I replaced several pieces in my 7070 with his coins. Most of what he collected was circulated (and possibly cleaned at some point) so I keep them for the sentimental value.
The Roosie came from a local convenience store a couple months back...first silver in awhile and just happened to fit the theme of the post.
That is one of those circs that almost looks better than an MS coin, in a weird way.
Lance.
Of course I had to look at that 1795 dollar again. I think it is imprinted on my retinas now.
SaorAlba- I remember that 1849 dime... vaguely.
