Coins that you miss That you previously owned

So I was going through my photobucket and ran across a remaining image of probably my favorite Morgan that I have ever owned and decided to share it with you all again. This was the last image I took of the coin before sending it to the new owner. I actually deleted all the other images and did not remember this one was still in the bucket. I actually deleted all the images because I was so upset at myself for selling it. Has this ever happened to you? If it has post the pictures of those coins and this is more about the coin and not it's value. We can all share and enjoy our memories with the CU family. This is in a Paramount holder and is a Redfield hoard Morgan, the crack is in the holder and not on the coin and the crack happened while in my possession and had no effect on the toning.

Kind of miss the 1894 toned Morgan in PCGS MS65 though.
I miss a few that I spent though.

Gold was approx. $300oz.
Among the upgrades was an 1849 Open Wreath, No L gold dollar that had a shattered reverse die. Today for historical reasons I wish I still had that coin. It was only an EF-AU and not worth that much, but it did show the problems that Longacre had with developing the Type I gold dollar design.
Interestingly though, former favorites have faded in my view when my understanding broadened or when better examples suddenly appeared. It's then easy to let 'em go.
Other gold coins I've sold, at the time I thought for sure I'd regret it, but there's only one other that I kindof regret, an 1899-O $10 in PCGS 61.
i've no pictures of coins gone...it can be heartbreaking
even deleted all old inventory from registry so i couldn't peek in
my 1964 sms dime and 1965 sms ms66 dcam nickel led one list
my 1958 pr61 franklin and 1937 proof lincoln sure were something very special to me......
The two I most regret were selling MS68 1991-D & 1993-D Kennedy for $300 each. I thought I would make more of them.
This year I partially made up for it by getting this one:
Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

<< <i>To me regretting selling a coin and missing a coin I previously owned are 2 different things as Mark stated I sold them for a reason but I still miss some of them. >>
I agree.
Missing a coin simply means I'd like to have it back, regardless of the reason for which I sold it.
Here are some:

Well, you "no-sell" collectors either never buy a bad coin, you have a safe full of coins, or both. I sold off a complete Barber half set. 95% of the coins were just perfect for me. I miss every one. More than miss them, I regret it greatly. My advice is to NEVER sell off a complete set, well, until your eyesight goes at least.

Nice coin!.....would hate to see her go.
Tyler, I don't know why you sold, but I suspect a common reason for selling something like this is when the coins or set in question is a non-trivial %age of someone's net worth. Some might look at their collection and only see locked up money. This is part of the reason it makes sense to keep a collection below some meaningful personal value threshold. What that threshold is properly, I don't know.

How do you live with yourself?! That's the kind of coin you keep and sell the car instead!

No kidding.
Miss 3 or 4 patterns too.
But, the money went into things I'm enjoying now, so that's the way it goes.

Actually I did the opposite. I sold it and everything else then bought a Shelby GT500.
