I find that AU53's are generally found on relatively expensive coins and most of my 53's have come from down crossed NGC's. That said, some of my favorite coins that I own are in AU53 holders.

Should probably be a tad higher grade, as the detail is there, but the luster is muted by all that darn original skin!

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals.
