Hoard the keys.
I try to visit the location before I buy, but since there are so many now I have had people get them as they travel.

Nice. Me too.
My Ebay Store
I never realized old marbles were worth anything
I just checked ebay and they have a marbles category and some of the sold prices on completed listings are insane
I'm going to start saving marbles i find in old houses I work on
<< <i>Lately I've been collecting artifacts I find in the rough on golf courses. Much more interesting than you folks that keep the ball on the fairway.
This made me LOL out loud........

Interesting! My uncle was a marble champion back around 1935. He has over 1,700 agate marbles.
Thanks for the link!

Odds and ends. I'll still pick up even new stamps if I really like them. (Really, really, really like them)
Got a painting of Alan Greenspan & autographed by him too.
A few stamps... Mostly African as well....
Edited to add:
Have a bunch of old marbles that had been my grandfathers...
I'll have to look them up as I had assumed the market for these was gone given that most of the folks who ever played marbles are long gone...

I never realized trains came in different sexes or had preferences . How do you tell them apart?

I like that bike. When I was in Afghanistan I spent many hours looking at the harley website at that bike. But alas my time in the trauma bay, and my wife have squashed that bug… but I still love those things.
<< <i>Picked up a nickel slot machine recently , it's from the late forties. One armed bandit works like a charm. I keep losing dateless buffalo nickels in it. >>
my dad has few of them and on one (cherry burst?), you can view the last 5 nickels dropped and the jackpot coins are visible.
he also collects marbles since he goes to so many yard/garage sales.
he has a vintage gumball machine 3/4 filled with them. says they're worth about $2000.
i also collect skateboards, hot wheels and maybe a Datsun or three too.
Autographed hockey pucks, pocket knives.....
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Highbrow!.....and cool.
Can anybody top that?
I did find my collecting utopia and so glad it doesn't cost much. I've been a Porsche and coin nut forever and have a full set of the Porsche factory coins that have been released annual with their calendar since 1962. I have a few other medals and badges that I think look cool too
