The enahnaced unc silver piece looks like it's going to be a very attractive coin.

I like the idea of an unlimited mintage for one month only. Just like the most recent silver eagle set.

That satisfies the flippers, the high volume purchasers, and us paltry collectors.

    << <i>

    << <i>Question on the 4-Coin Silver Set.

    - Is there a difference between the current 2014-S Silver Proof & 2014-S Clad Proof and what will be in the 4-Coin Set Proof's?

The description of the ones that will come in the 4-Coin set says the following:
    - Proof version struck at the Philadelphia Mint (Got it, NEW !!)
    - Reverse proof version struck at the West Point Mint (Got it, NEW !!)
    - Enhanced uncirculated version struck at the San Francisco Mint (Question ??)
    - Uncirculated version struck at the Denver Mint. (Got it, NEW !!)

    - Is the "S" different that the current available Silver Proof? >>

    If it's an enhanced proof...YES >>

    ???

    Try "enhanced uncirculated"

Also, Kennedy Collectors can see the difference between what currently exists vs what these coin will be. It is very easy.

For example: The coin pictured in the linked page, will NOT be produced. But if somehow it is, it'll be worth a lot of moo-lah!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

Upon graduating from Harvard in 1940, the future President joined the Navy. In August 1943 he was commanding
patrol torpedo (PT) boat 109 in the South Pacific near the Solomon Islands, one of 15 in the area on the lookout for Japanese boats.
A Japanese destroyer rammed PT-109, and it was torn in two, with the 12 crew members falling in the water amidst the fire, two
of whom were killed and one badly injured. Using a large board, they swam for shore for about three miles and reached land,
with Kennedy pulling the injured soldier through the water using his teeth to hold the cord of the man’s life preserver.

PCGS will have a special one-time offering at the Chicago ANA. Of course we will also offer special First Strike and non-First Strike labels.

The details of these offerings will be released soon.

Of course the availability of this offering is dependent on the Mint's release schedule.

I wonder if the mint will send its entire stock of gold Kennedy coins to the Chicago show so that they will be able sell them all to the flippers and big dealers at the show, and then leave those who order on-line with another four month wait?

The line has already formed at the Chicago ANA. Here is a photo.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Well, the Mint has said they have produced 40,000 to be available on the first day. 2,500 are being brought to the ANA show with only 500 a day up for sale. They said the daily limit of 2 could be changed.
With the whole 37,000 pre-produced 2 coin sets sold in the first couple hours of availability I see a jam up on the Mint site on Aug. 5th. And confusion, pushing, shoving, scrambling and near riot conditions in Chicago.
Your fear is not justified. However, your distrust of the Mint is.
