starting 12/11/13, Platinum and Gold prices remain the same for the next week
7 days ending 12/11/13
Gold avg: $1238.85 (up $7.55); Criteria #4 (no change, since avg was w/i current range, even though Wed PM was in next higher range); AGE (proof) $1560
Platinum avg: $1372.00 (up $14.00); Criteria #1 (no change); APE (proof) $1750
it's interesting that the Mint only changes the prices for items that are still for sale, and does not reflect updated prices for items that are sold out.
For instance, the 1oz Gold Proof is sold out, and shows a $1510 price (which is for the next lowest range) yet the 1/2 oz is still for sale, and it shows the price for the correct current price range.
I guess it would just be more work to update prices for items that are sold out, but then it could introduce some confusion if somebody was looking at the current price range and saw that the sold out item didn't match the for sale items.
. . . ok, I'm overanalyzing this I guess . . . carry on with your day . . .
