May have suffered from an old cleaning and my images aren't perfect either .

Doubling in marked areas .

the condition is there but with those images, hard to tell if it has been monkeyed with.

about the only thing worse than au58 or aut58+ is unc details. lol

Now that i look again it does look sorta burned out...no luster probably means dipped out or cleaned

Could be the photos, but the color doesn't look right. I'm guessing it will bag for altered surfaces or recoloroing.

With most digital cameras on automatic exposure setting, the apparent color will depend a lot on the background color.
So it's hard to judge the color, actually.

Looks MS64ish from the pictures, no distracting marks. Good strike. If it hasn't been cleaned, send it in. Also it's got the repunched date too. Not sure if that's FS-1301 or FS-1302 off the top of my head. Nice coin!

Could be my aging eyes....but it sure looks like doubling on the "1" in the date? Don't have a reference book handy to confirm a known variety or scarcity, so that may mean nothing value wise.

Added: Beaten to it in the previous post. (I think and type too slowly.

It has Mint State sharpness, but looks to have been cleaned. For that reason I don't think that it will get a grade and therefore is not worth sending in for certification.

Here is a piece that has been graded MS-65, Red. It is in an old PCGS "rattle holder."

The color balance in the photos seems to be off. That said, the surfaces appear lifeless which is what I would expect to see if the coin had been cleaned.
