    The chief was right! It's an AU55 CAC chain cent! I've been selling many coins and other collectible in order to fund this.
    Thankfully my dealer/friend who has it has given me terms that I just couldn't pass up. Since I agreed to buy it, the value of the coin had gone up with auctions, so it was a no brainer. It's more than 1/3 rd paid off. Hopefully it will be done sooner than later.

    Absolutely stunning chain cent! I love it: crisp details and just enough "wear" to place in commerce before plucked from circulation by one of our cherrypicking forefathers. This is the kind of coin one would sell there entire collection for.
