I'd guess about a 50% response rate for this thread for registered users visiting the forum.
Most forums have about another ten lurkers for every active person. That gives rough estimates of 600 registered active people, and maybe another 6000 humans (vs. bots or robo-searchers) that visited during the past few days.
Now take another number, an estimate of about 100,000 active coin collectors, loosely defined as a person that spent more than 25 hours on the hobby, or more than $250 on numismatic coins during the past year. That means the PCGS coin forum might influence about 6% of the collect base. Given the forum skew towards deep pockets, quality oriented collectors, the 6% that might be here, might be 20% of the buying power in certain niches.
PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows. I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.
