For me,it would be any kind of "tidbit" that I did not know, then in return, I would benefit from it in this dear hobby of ours!

I simply can't answer this with one go. "Same coin" posts for "fun" / Ambro51's finds for FUN.

I like it when someone posts a Newp or something nice from thier collection that they are proud to own, not coins that are bragged about for flipping and profit!!

I go by the topic, because some of my favorite posters rarely start the threads themselves, but make excellent contributions to ongoing threads of interest.

Myself, I like the "here is a group of related coins that forms a collection I've been working on a while and is both interesting and difficult to do, what do you think about them and post yours"

Hmm... I can't give you just one. I could give you a top 5, though, where order doesn't matter:

    (1) Anything witty. One time, someone posted a newp- it was an Ike with a PCGS PO01 label. Someone commented, "If it were any worse, it would be genuine." I lol'ed.

    (2) Anything by BillJones

    (3) Any newp by SmEagle1795

    (4) Any PO01 coin pic

    (5) Anything by Ambro51

I like the "Let's all tar and feather this seller. He actually had the audacity to think that I should have to read his discription of what he's selling rather than simply assume that I could buy a 1500 dollar coin for 19 bucks!" threads. Those are always fun.

I love this place most when an genuine question comes up about an issue and one of if not the absolute authority answers back with a soup to nuts explanation. IE Rick Snow, Fred w, cardinal, TDN, and many others. That's what makes this place special and what I enjoy watching.
  • Anything by Cladking,or Wondercoin aboue modern coins. I collect these and love to read what they have to say. Just wish there was more conversation and definiation(?) of modern coins. I know there are many, many more collectors and experts on this topic and I would enjoy a thread just dealing with these wonderful collectable examples of coins of our time.

Pics of nice circulated raw coins bought by the average collector for an album. Sometimes I get super-jaded with the high end aspect of the business and just want to revert back to being a kid with his Whitman album looking to fill empty slots.
