  I really like the idea that the building reaches to 1776 feet. Truly symbolic and patriotic on many levels. The American Spirit once again rises back up from tragedy. Well done.

  I happened to be in the area yesterday. It really is incredible to view up close, and dwarfs the rest of the skyline.
  I'll add that I did stop by Stack's as well, so that this isn't entirely OT.

  Nothing to post but a memory.
  I was in those buildings for the first and last about a week before the tragic day. I got up close and rested my sternum with the corner of one tower in it the concavity in my chest and looked up. It was HUGE and felt alive.

  I was in the BMI office (the building on the right in Betta's photo) a couple years ago, just high enough to see the top of the construction. It was cool to see it in-progress. I am returning in June of this year for more business, and very excited to see the finished works!
  
  I did pick up on something yesterday during the BBC broadcast ... they interviewed a rep from the NY/NJ Port Authority (the org that owns the building) … he commented that in his opinion "it stands for freedom, liberty and the resiliency of this country." I was expecting "__, ___ and justice for all."

  That is a subway tunnel leading to what was a underground station
