My son learns to check his change...
My son was jingling his wallet around this morning and I heard something of an unfamiliar clang - like a foreign coin or something. Believe me, I can distinguish coins by sounds - so he takes two quarters and a half out, they look normal until I look at the edge of the one quarter - silver! A 1964-D. Paid him the $5.16 melt value, and have insured that he will be checking his change a bit more often.

Varieties Are The Spice Of LIFE and Thanks to Those who teach us what to search For.
<< <i>Thats a good way to keep him involved, and hopefully you showed him what to look for on the 1964 d quarter, Perhaps a type C Reverse or a ddo or ddr. With most coins there are varieties and thats always something to keep them interested too and worth more than melt. Nice job................Enjoy
