My son learns to check his change...

My son was jingling his wallet around this morning and I heard something of an unfamiliar clang - like a foreign coin or something. Believe me, I can distinguish coins by sounds - so he takes two quarters and a half out, they look normal until I look at the edge of the one quarter - silver! A 1964-D. Paid him the $5.16 melt value, and have insured that he will be checking his change a bit more often.
