My thoughts, a lovely lustory gold with flecks of color in the rims. In my market research there seems to be a bit of price compression in the 64 thru 67 grades, but a coin with nice color, not so much. Just my thoughts.

I like the toning on the rev-

Umm, hang on- which side is considered the obverse and reverse on these?

Anyway, I like the toning on the side with the trail map.

Pretty tuff type, no? It's been several years since I dabbled with any commems (and then only an abortive attempt at an AU Dansco set).

I've never had a Spanish Trail.

Very nice example. I like the toning. Followed one at Heritage Long Beach sale with dark rim tones on both sides. Alas, it went for moon money and I didn't get the coin. Regards

Here is a PCGS MS-66. I don't think that your coin is an upgrade candidate because of the gray areas on the high points of the steer's nose and top of the head.
