When my feelings get hurt... you guy's teasing is excessive. If it comes to that, I'll beg you to refrain. In light of the fact that we are here together, I'd say it's a pretty good mix of everything we need to keep it...

I'm still in discussion with my potential coinsmasher, to see if his press will do nickels, and his punch will do the holes on one end of each. (Gotta keep up my "Holey of Holeys" schtick, y'know.)

Just saw an 1824/2 capped bust dime on a clipped planchet with a hole in the middle of it. Definitely up there on my "cool radar." Don't know if I'll get another look at it, if so, I'll try to get a pic to post.

<< <i>^ Yessss... but you wouldn't know the date off-hand. LordM stated they're 1913's. . . >>
The type 1 buffalo nickels were only made in 1913 and they can be identified by the reverse design which shows the buffalo standing on a mound. In subsequent years the reverse design shows a buffalo standing on a plain.

Gee, I read all these posts thinking some cool coin was ultimately going to be up for a potential you suck award, and come away with death star and rolls buffalo, not that those aren't cool, but this thread needs more beef.

<< <i>How cool does a coin have to be to justify teasing the Forum? >>
Up to but not exceeding 20º Celsius.
<< <i>Based on some of the coins I've seen posted over the years, the minimum coolness level is pretty low.

It took me a few reads. The first time I thought the thread was about tasing the forum.
To answer the question, it has to be lower than a two or higher than a seven on the ol' FatMan Coolness Scale.

Oh, if you only knew my secret agenda! Muahahaha!
Actually, 'tis pretty obvious, ain't it. All US Coins should be smashed and elongated.
