How cool does a coin have to be to justify teasing the Forum?

Not sure where your going with this but no matter how cool a coin is it's just an inanimate object.

Based on some of the coins I've seen posted over the years, the minimum coolness level is pretty low.

Someone just picked up a roll of dateless Buffalo nickels and there is a thread running on it, so yes, I agree- it doesn't take much.

It took me a few reads. The first time I thought the thread was about tasing the forum. image

When my feelings get hurt... you guy's teasing is excessive. If it comes to that, I'll beg you to refrain. In light of the fact that we are here together, I'd say it's a pretty good mix of everything we need to keep it...

The plan is for those to become my new custom elongated coins!

I'm still in discussion with my potential coinsmasher, to see if his press will do nickels, and his punch will do the holes on one end of each. (Gotta keep up my "Holey of Holeys" schtick, y'know.)

I have many extremely cool coins that I have not shared, mostly because of the lack of time, which is, the most valuable commodity in the world.

No. There are plenty of dateless type 2 buffalo nickels. That why the date resporation product Nic-O-Date is successful.

Just saw an 1824/2 capped bust dime on a clipped planchet with a hole in the middle of it. Definitely up there on my "cool radar." Don't know if I'll get another look at it, if so, I'll try to get a pic to post.

The type 1 buffalo nickels were only made in 1913 and they can be identified by the reverse design which shows the buffalo standing on a mound. In subsequent years the reverse design shows a buffalo standing on a plain.

Oh, if you only knew my secret agenda! Muahahaha!

Actually, 'tis pretty obvious, ain't it. All US Coins should be smashed and elongated.

Gee, I read all these posts thinking some cool coin was ultimately going to be up for a potential you suck award, and come away with death star and rolls buffalo, not that those aren't cool, but this thread needs more beef.

More beef? Hey, 200 Buffalos provide a LOT of meat! (Even if they've been worn a bit flat.)

But since you specified more beef, your wish is my command.
