I can't drink coffee at all, doctor warned against it when I started having kidney stones in 1999. I was a medium-heavy coffee drinker. I had one stone, then another one 6mos later, then another 3mos later. At that point I took the doctor's advice and switched to tea. Haven't had a stone since. Apparently coffee has a lot of oxalic acid and that helps (causes?) kidney stone formation. Lots of oxalic acid in cooked spinach, which I avoid as well.

  • I actually prefer quality tea and yes, I agree, that they are better for us. California was way ahead of us in health food, and true there is disinformation galore in that field. Now Whole Foods stores and their like have proliferated. Alcohol drinks can be medicinal too, no question, in moderation.
  • I don't drink anything but bottled water around my coins.
If I get a few drinks in me I tend to get clumsy and might wind up spilling the booz all over my coins.image
