Hey. Did you Buffalo Nickel collectors let this one slip through the cracks?

Looks like a lot of coin for the money.
Am I missing something you experts see that I didn't?

1937 PCGS MS66 Buffalo Nickel closed at under $50.

Is that the one that had the almost impossible full strike?

    Keep the tail.
I'm hoping the luster is strong and the color, excellent!

    strange animals them buff's
    strike comes 2nd to luster

i think color will be gorgeous...luster dripping on that one...the tail is there...just a lil muted but toning

heres my 37...a mere 65...why...not because of strike...i love my strike especially going into the braid...but luster isn't dripping

The strike isn't the best on the obverse and I have seen 37's that are weak....I own one.

However, to answer your question Pat: The reason it might have gone for less is that the photo is lousy. It looks like it might have some nice color.

    Thanks jom,

Sometimes I feel like Barry Weis on "Storage Wars" more misses than hits- but you've got to at least pick up the bat.

I like Teddy's 65 a lot better......and the strange yellow color bothers me - of course, all tarnish bothers me....imageimage Cheers, Rick

Could be PVC on that coin. But if so, PCGS would cover it.

I can see why one would think so but from the photo it looks a lot more like Dansco type album toning. Beside, I can't imagine PCGS missing that obvious of PVC.
