VF sharpness for sure, but if the coin looks like the scan, you could have a problem getting VF money because of cleaning.

If that's a fake, that's a really good fake. VF for sure.

vf detail. Cant tell about the surfaces - looks cleaned but you say the scan makes it look washed out

I don't see anything that says 'fake' other than some unusual discoloration in some areas, like above the T and between the B and E in LIBERTY, among others. The reverse relief looks a little flat, but I owe that to the scanner.
Very close to XF details; cleaning, etc. aside, NGC would likely XF it, PCGS VF35.

EF all day long- except it will likely not grade.

The problem is the flat color and surfaces that show nothing in the way of lustre. It does have that sad look of being cleaned based on the color and lustre that has been stripped. A Walker with these details will have lustre. This one looks very flat with clear evidence that the flat lustre was the result of cleaning- Sorry

How different does the coin look in hand from this image?

Thats not a vf, f15 details at best and I've seen f15's with more details in the dress and feathers that that even.

Edited to add it obverse kinda looks tooled as well to me and reverse does have vf details but that as a whole does not make this a VF

Yikes, that coin looks bleached...VF, and IMO if that ever made EF the graders were having a happy day (night?) of it.

Give it a acetone rinse and image it with a camera rather than a scanner and I think more will cone on the VF30 wagon.

If you can provide them, I predict you can sell them at F15 prices until you run out of money acquiring them (paying for them as F15, of course). But then, that's just me...

    edited to add...

Look at the details of the 35 with the green CAC sticker- look at the details and the surfaces

If the OP coin had surfaces like this, the coin would easily be a 40 prerhaps 45

I love dealers who are these tough grader types, especially when they use the Greysheet to price their wares......bought this 21S as a strong Fine, and sold it to
a knowledgeable forum member as a VF at a favorable price:

I'll bet this coin looks much better in hand. To me the detail is at least 35 maybe 40.

Should have some luster in the protected areas of the coin to some degree, so I think it's been cleaned, dull, lifeless. But with that said it also displays some blemish free surfaces, no big hits or distracting marks. I would say high end vf. I like the coin for an album....image
