No you wouldn't. You don't need to give away gold, I enjoy your posts and you bring a refreshing and different perspective to the board's.
Keep on posting and don't think you need to give stuff away to be appreciated.
Just ignore that one comment in the other thread.
If someone post negatively to your contest then let them hold their
Own giveaway or keep their comments to themselves.

If you give it to me I promise not to judge you negatively.
Some personal trivia: an 1851 gold dollar was my first gold coin, given to me by my grandmother when I was young. (It has the same weakness in the center of the reverse).
I U my friend @BruceS
Is it still in your possession @JBK ?
Oh yes. Always will be. No slab, either, just a black Capitol Plastics holder.
I see most member has been gone on ZZZZZZZZZZ....must be late where you are. G'nite

Just have to say I like your New Avatar !
Thank you and thanks to Snapchat I managed to get my hibiscus on.....kind of
Okay now I see the flower !
Be very careful with raw US gold dollars. They have been very heavily counterfeited and many of the counterfeits are really good.

Just want to say that you are a beautiful woman and I like your new avatar Paradisefound, that Hibiscus fits nicely on you. (Trust me, I am not trying to bribe you by saying nice things to you, I just like to compliment people is all) You don't have to bribe or give gold away to anyone, especially a nice looking coin like that one. I have seen you give away a lot of very nice coins in the past, that I would love to have in my collection and know that whoever got them had to be very happy about getting them but I know it makes you happy to do it so you do what makes you happy but I don't think I could give away something that nice away (unless I was about to die and knew it would make someone very happy like I know that coin would lol).
Who cares what your motives are, I just want a chance to win it!

Hosting a Miss Coin Universe pageant? Anyhow, you are spoiling us rotten with all these giveaways. I would have to say the best prize members received was not the coin but your passion to make this forum a better place and full with joys. For that, we thanks you from the bottom of our hearts.
Back on track, how dare you to think of giving out gold and stealing my 30 seconds of fame ? I was planning to host a contest on my 1000th post to show some appreciations to our community.
Hmmm, a little gold? Reminds me of a Led Zeppelin song...

To keep me from the gallows pole?
What hibiscus.....
Like the new avatar. Maybe the bribe is remove the Libertas from the holder. Nice prizes but everyone here loves you no matter.
My wife planted some hibiscuses (hibicis?) in our (her) garden and they are blooming quite nicely in the East Texas heat.
If you are giving away a one-dollar gold piece that is ... well ... very generous, if not just plain 'over the top.' Whatever your motives, may you be brought joy and happiness.
See http://www.doubledimes.com for a free online reference for US twenty-cent pieces
The choice - as all choices are - is yours...you are already accepted, liked and respected here on the forum. If you choose to have a contest or giveaway, then do so.... if not, that is fine too... I enjoy your posts and lighthearted humor.... Above all, continue to have fun, enjoy your coins, and get some more. Cheers, RickO
The reverse look suspect to me. Not as much with the obverse though. Might just be the pictures. If I win the giveaway I can inspect it a little better!!
nice coin but too small...I would be afraid of losing it

A nice picture of the ocean but someone got in the way.
I think that you are a very giving individual who seems to enjoy spreading happiness, in the form of coinage, throughout the forum.
