Is there a better looking Type in grades from AG to MS than these?

I always do a double take when I see these. A very distinct Type.
The clean obverse is near perfection, imho.
Hopefully we can see other and better examples.
I'll handle the AG part.

I have to agree. Probably my favorite design.
I WILL own a Gobrecht dollar one day!
One of $40,000 worth delivered in that year according to the replica of a page recorded in a ledger most likely created in the late 1890s currently on display at the Old New Orleans Mint.
A nice AG example you have there.
it's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
Boy this place is slow. I can't believe this didn't gain a little traction.
Here's another.
A "no stars" Gobrecht dollar is on my bucket list, and it has to be NO STARS!
The obverse of the coin in the OP is certainly unique.... Having lost all detail but the outline of the image and the date.... That would be a keeper for me.... Cheers, RickO
We should talk.
PM for high res photos of ALL my silver rounds. LOL
This design without the stars is far superior to the ones with stars IMO. They are like little cameos.
The 1837-8 No Stars Dime is one of the "sleepers" among the 19th century types. When I completed my U.S. set for the half cnets through the silver dollars, minus the "Impossible" (For me at the time) 1796-7 Draped Bust, Small Eagle Half Dollar, the No Stars Dime was last coin I needed. I filled the slot with this piece, which is a Choice AU and have never upgraded it.
Fairly significant discrepency published for the number of 1838-O's minted.

The 1837 numbers agree.
I've never looked into it. It may be a common uncertainty.

That'll do!!
WOW!!!
It's hard not to like a seated dime I'm any grade. I particularly like the no stars look, I wish they had just left it alone.
