Maybe because Old Gold had caps, but before I clicked I saw that pack of cigarettes.
Post-WWII, my step-dad would give me a quarter to buy a pack of these from the vending machine when I guess everything was 23c. The two pennies were already sealed inside the cellophane, and I got to pocket them.
I believe some '55 DDO's showed up this way before Jim Ruddy bought 1000's of them.
I am more personally certain of the ownership of two private '33 $20's than how '55 DDO's Dave Bowers' first partner had, and none showed up for me, but the little game of me not looking at the dates until getting back to the restaurant table was delicious

Yep... I remember that dancing cigarette pack....and going to the corner store for cigarettes for my Dad...That is a nice old gold coin... I like to have those raw...Cheers, RickO

I like everything except that damn sticker. I don't know call me crazy. Beautiful coin, wish I owned her.

I too remember the legs....er.... cigarette pack.
I considered it to be too much stimulation for a 12 year old.
Now I use coins. Waaaaahhhhhh......
Great looking coin. I love the clean surfaces. Tough to find on gold.
Old money's better than new.
I love it
