Is it typical for orders to be shipped back prior to TrueViews being posted??

I dont think so. My TVs have always been posted prior to shipment

Yes, I have heard a lot of examples of that.

@PCGSPhoto should be able to give you some insight other than...wait for it....there will be times when the imagery department get a little behind in the posting of such remarkable imagery.

My TV's usually show the day after the grades show. Do you click on the coin # in the sub list. Or are you talking about the email for the TV's. The email is later.

Yes, TV's can post sometimes 2-3 days after the coins arrive. I think there are much more people getting them and would be really hard to keep up

OK, thanks for the reassuring posts, I have been suffering from grading paranoia. I have always gotten images before the coins shipped. I guess it is not unusual.

    thanks again.

Happened to me last month. All worried that they forgot to do them (it happened to me last year), but they showed up a day or so later.

Have you tried doing a cert look-up on one of the coins?

  • keetskeets Posts: 25,351 ✭✭✭✭✭

Gee Keets, I thought you were an old Pro at all this submission stuff. But if not, rest assured, its not YOU ! We ALL have been through these issues at one time or another. Whats maddening is just when you think you got the PCGS "system" figured out - it will change.

well, I asked because it had never happened to me before and I had a bad submission experience from 11/17-02/18 where PCGS used the wrong holder and skipped the TrueViews. they fixed the problem but left me cautious. before I started the thread I PM'd Phil to check but he must have been busy and didn't respond, so I got nervous.

he has replied and told me the pictures should be up this evening.

--- my lesson learned and the moral to the story is be more patient. now that I know this is a common occurrence I will expect it in the future.

Taking a few weeks these days. I often email and ask.

  • zas107zas107 Posts: 831 ✭✭✭

I have had that happen on about 50 or so coins. Usually they get posted within a week or so on the gold shield coins. Typically they are available however as soon as the grades are posted.

When you're a "One Man Band" (Phil) things can get a tad behind. He shot them, but post process imaging takes a bit of time.

Keets PM’d me and I processed the images. Dealing with this back-end delay has been a priority for our IT staff, and this week we’re finally going to start rolling out some impressive Artificial Intelligence software that will greatly assist in productivity.

@PCGSPhoto...That sounds great.... I know many here will be happy about the new software. Is productivity the only feature you will gain from AI?? Cheers, RickO
