Finally got this tough date Seated Liberty half (1851)!

You hardly ever see this date anywhere, along with the 1850 and 1952 Philly issues. Nice dark, almost circam look, grades XF-40:

    I know that is a rare to scarce date because many of them were melted or exported, but dark black or almost black silver with brighter highlights on the worn spots, is not my ideal look.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
