Easy fake.

Back by popular demand, here’s something that’s fake lol
You own a lot of Morgans. It should be easy to compare them. The breast feathers look way too flat to be real.
Fake pics uploaded above lol
Well that was informative. (Post-deletion).

You should keep it up not every one can tell a fake from not a fake, but having it up for all to see may help some one that may not know how to tell with what some say here and point out.
Hoard the keys.
If you didn't see it, obvious fake CC Morgan Dollar. My guess a recent Chinese product. I do think the OP knew it was bad, but was hoping against hope.
I don't think the image should've been deleted. It should be left for newbies, veterans alike to learn from it.
I felt stupid so I deleted it but here are the pics again
It’s back
Are there other tells other than the lack of breast feathers?
Should coin clubs sponsor "Flea Fake" events and clear the fake coins out of flea markets? Members could come equipped with powerful rare earth magnets (Nd2Fe14B) and clear out all the "money changers' " fake coins from the tables.
Are those test-marks behind her head to see if it's actually silver?
Or is it a chop-marked indication of correct weight?
Perhaps carved out of a Maria-Theresa Thaler? Or is that Aaron Burr in drag.
Thanks for the laughs. I missed the delete and reappearance. But the 04 is really bad and the Morgan is not much better. Even with the bad pics.

Mmmm-kay. Yep. Buckets of these at your average swap meet. Make great refrigerator magnets!

Fake coins are proliferating in flea markets and antique shops lately. The sellers get really upset when you tell them their products are fake.... Sometimes they have been victims, other times they are knowing purveyors. Either way, they do not like such information. I hope we continue to post images of these fakes so that new collectors can learn... Cheers, RickO
Do the chinese also try and scam their own chinese collectors of US coins or are they just going after Americans?
