Is $172.50 for a 10oz silver bar a good price?

Dealer at the coin show today was asking $172.50 for a 10oz Silvertowne bar.

    That close to melt is a good price.

    Considering I have to pay $.45 over spot, at a minimum, if I order one or ten. I think it’s fair.

    Definitely... I do not collect silver bars, but looking at melt prices, it is a good deal. A month ago, well, it may have been cheaper.... two months from now - who knows? Cheers, RickO

    Depends on the state, Iowa does not but Minnesota does. As far as other states I would have to look into it.

    Terrible deal now. But that's been "par for the course." The big boys have a sale that you can't refuse, just in time to see Silver drop.

    The short term trends, while not easy, are also not difficult to discern.
