I'll go out on the limb....
And say it looks legit to me. Nothing is screaming counterfeit. It' had a rough life, and has taken it's fair share of abuse....But the design elements look correct, (to me).
Looks ok to me, too.

Molested but genuine.
Yup.
Lance.
Damaged but worth something; I got a recent book on the rarer issues in that time frame, I doubt it is one of them. Under $50 imo.
Cleaned a little with a small rim bump, but genuine.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't see a lot of these coins well worn.
Genuine. Cleaned with graffiti and rim bumps, as well, but genuine.

sad, but real
[or reale?]

Come on Frank, how can the posted coin be sad?
I like it as it is....................?
Real character.

It's good.
Coin Rorshach test: Is it a "44" and "AA" or a pair of sailboats?

Looks genuine to me... However, I would take the word of the previous posters over mine....
