The 1922 no "D" is a coin that should only be purchased in a major brand slab. Cleaned, raw coins such as yours are always suspect in regard to alterations such as smoothing away the "D".
Both are certainly not the no D as the reverses are too weak. The reverse is always at least a full grade higher detail wise than the Obv. From your pictures both look like they could be altered but hard to tell from the pictures.

All good points.

no strong reverse with well defined wheat lines ... first looks like the D has been removed ... I would say no to both based upon the pictures provided . additional resource ... there are plenty of references with "the google" !!
The bottom coin is harshly cleaned and looks to me like the D was removed. The top coin could be the "weak reverse" variety, here is a link to an older thread with detailed descriptions of the three "weak D" die pairs.

I don't have a pic of my 22 no D on this PC, but maybe someone can post theirs to show some PUPS
Here are a couple of no-D's, both strong reverses. One's a VF20, the other VF30. Not wonderful coins but good enough for my Dansco.

They both look like they have been harshly cleaned. I can see where the D is visible so weak D at best but the value is hurt from the cleaning IMHO.

While I am not an expert, based on the CPG, I would say neither one qualifies...Cheers, RickO

Weak D...MS63BN

Both look like the "D" was removed. The top coin is very obvious.
I agree....abrasion right where the mintmark should be is highly suspect.
The coins have been effectively ruined.
Easiest to see on the second one, looks like the D was removed
