Planning a coin display - samples provided
While visiting with a fellow forum member, he suggested I put photo's of some of my coin displays on the forum, and so I will!
I've got to tell you that planning these things out really adds a dimension to collecting. I find it a lot of fun and rewarding. I'll start with one I did back in 2016 honoring the coins who had hit their 100th birthday so to speak. I don't know how well the photo's will look on your computer, but there is a year set of Standing Liberty Quarters (including the "key" 1916 in PCGS XF45 surrounded by skeleton keys). There is a short set of Mercury Dimes along with proof coins of both Walkers and Mercury's.
There is also an extended (1940 thru 1947) short set of Walkers. Try planning out a display sometime, even if you don't plan to show it anywhere, I think you'll find it interesting.
Best wishes,
Pete

Oops! Full admission: That 1916 belonged to a coin club buddy who was nice enough to offer me the loan of that beautiful coin for the display.

That's exactly what we need, a 1916 style renaissance of coinage.
Your work is really nice!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Nice Exhibit
I couldn't agree with you more! Add the Buffalo Nickel to the coins of 1916 and you've got some truly great designs.

I enjoy putting together exhibits. It helps me to learn more, and I enjoy sharing what I have.
It looks like you have all the making a first rate exhibit there with your 1916 coins.
nice display.....thank you for sharing it
Great work, congratulations !!!
Rollerman, this is very cool stuff, thank you for sharing your efforts. Love the OGH ‘16 SLQ with the keys around it.
Hey, very nice. A great way to bring beautiful coins to the attention of the public !
Excellent and informative displays... Very well done... Such a display, at a show, would stop me right there for likely a half hour/45 minutes.... to appreciate the entire content. Cheers, RickO
I've done other displays but didn't photograph them. One of the first ones was the "Family Tree" of the "Silver Dollar" which features a nice drawing of a tree with the roots being a 1795 Dollar with the fruit being one example of the dollars through the years ending with the Presidential Dollars at the top. I had one as a tribute to Wayne Miller with the plate coin from his book at the center (there is a thread about this coin). I had a two case display of the affects of toning on silver dollars and will reprise that one next year most likely. I had one on the GSA hoard. It's great fun and my sincere thanks to any and all who have expressed approval of my efforts here on the forum, it's been a labor of love as they say. Next week I'll post my Redfield display and the 2 cent display.
