Love my modern American Liberty gold coins but I should look for their matching silver MEDALS?

The 2015 & 2017 American Liberty gold coin are very beautiful and I have them all in PCGS PF70DCAM (pardon the stock photos)

Should I acquire the matching silver MEDALS to make a set?
The silver coin they called medal are very pricy for the PGCS 70 and there are S & W mint marks to go with the 2015 gold edition.
Is it worth investing around $200 p medal to complete the set?

The same for 2017 American Liberty; this one has about 5 different silver MEDALS to make a complete set...

Why not they are still for sale at the mint $195.95 for the set, heck you might find it cheaper on Ebay PCGS FS slabbed. That would be cheaper than submitting 8 or 12 medals only to get 1 set of 70's minus the Denver in a 70 unless you choose NGC. The PCGS slab in a 70 D is real hard to get. PCGS only has 75 of them graded on their pop report.

But I bet that is one nice gold medal wish I had one! Congrats.

The PCGS 70 as a set of 4 goes for $2100 compare to the 69's at $600. I think it's better off trying to collect them individually overtime.
This is the most modern "modern" coin topic and I am sure there is quite an interest and not necessary in this very forum on these sort of coins; to justify some high premium?

If you want more info, the 2016 American Liberty Medal discussion is here:

    2016 American Liberty Silver Medal (UH9 / UH10)

You will probably find these somewhat expensive due to their low mintage.

The 2017 medals will be far less expensive, due to lower demand and high mintage. The four medal set discussion is here:

American Liberty 225th Anniversary Silver Four-Medal Set (17XD)

    BTW, there's also a 2017 1/10thozt gold AmLib coin, too, if you're a completionist.

2018 American Liberty One-Tenth Ounce Gold Proof Coin (18XF)

I have the 2015 gold and both 2016 medals, but bypassed all the 2017 offerings.

@Paradisefound ...Beautiful coins... As to whether you should get the silver medals... well, that is a personal choice....Unless you are planning to build a set for sale as a whole unit.... You seem to be a collector, and one that collects for the beauty of the coins... if that is the case, then the decision is yours alone... They are truly beautiful coins.... and I did buy a couple as gifts... Cheers, RickO

When you ask if they are “worth” getting, are you asking from an investment and future value perspective?

If so, you need to gauge future demand, especially after initial interest has died down and either the series is out of recent memory or there are so many people don’t try to collect them all.

If you are asking for your personal enjoyment, consider what else you can acquire with the same funds and compare your happiness or satisfaction.

Yes I got every one except the D it was just to expensive and I tried 4 coins to grade all failed to reach 70. So I am holding 5 - 69's of the Denver wondering how can I get that final one. In the end I just gave up. 69 will have to do for me. Good luck I want to say the 69's to self grade was easy about 300 bucks. Just that last one.
