If you gently allow your arrow to hover over the number of visits there is a drop-down that explains what it is exactly.
This was a great "April's Fool." Got me sucked in enough to look.
...Absolutley it was! Bravo @braddick ...you slipped that baby into an ongoing mystery thread perfectly, and it immediately got swallowed up like a Honey-Baked ham on Easter Sunday! Very Nice Play

I get the feeling reading these threads PCGS is just sitting back shining its laser pointer on the floor having a laugh watching us kittens chase our 'visits' around the room

I want to win soooooo bad but I don't know how to even guess it. I've tried by visiting other members and noticed no change to their visits as well as logging out / in with no change on mine either. This must be administrative side of the function don't you think? I think we need to ask @Kkathyl since she has 95.....
And still no answer....Mine has been at 813 since this thread began... and no efforts seem to change it... Oh well... I did not care before and still do not care.. Cheers, RickO
@ricko
Mine has been at 803 since this thread began.
Based on your number of visits and the long time that you have been here vs. my number of visits and the relatively short time that I have been here.................................if they are a 'bad' thing then I am in grave danger
Some of you probably know that the underlying software for these PCGS message boards is "Vanilla Forums." Visits are supposed to be defined as the number of unique times you "visit" the forums (i.e., open a forum page while navigating from a blank or external page--switching pages within the forum should not constitute a new visit). It is not supposed to be the number of times your cookie is renewed, nor the times you log on.
That said, there have been numerous complaints that the Vanilla Forums visit counter doesn't work as expected or in any reproducible way... the same problems we've been seeing. See, for example, this Vanilla Forums help thread.
I think this answered my question. Anyway, he won the contest.
Suddenly my VISITS went up from 1 to 6. I haven't been on the computer all day, haven't been visiting the forum, just came on and checked the profile.....
My "visits" have also been rising. And not due to anything on this end, I checked this morning and I was at 7, I just popped in again late afternoon and it's now at 12. The forum has reactivated the counter again......

The "Cereal Dollar" discussion did not. However, Tony the Tiger would sell a lot of coins.

Visits are by appointment only !!!

Visits are directly related to your personal IQ score.
PCGS acceses your high school records and adjuts your visit number accordingly.
The higher your visit number the smarter you are.
Gently allowing your arrow to hover always makes good sense

That would make me very smart!
Visits is probably how many times you have signed into the site is what I would think it means.

I'm not entirely sure, because I was kind of out of it during the abduction, but aliens and probing in sensitive areas may be involved.

Aliens, HUH? You know, your not the first one to suspect that.
If we keep probing around we have

Yay!!!!! I'm up from 110 to 112! I'm headed in the right direction!
My YouTube Channel
I would assume it's the amount of private message sent/received from different members. Each member counts as one.
My count is 980. Send me a PM and see if it goes to 981.
sent! Can you also reply back and see if it work?
The PM did not raise my count.
Here is another thought. Amount of unique visitors who replied to a discussion/ topic you made.
Go make a reply to one of my variety posts (discussions).
Didn't work. But I am certain that I had replied to your topic previously. (not a new head count)
Oh well!
ok I will make a new topic. My visit is at 35. lets see if it increases with new replies.
It's a glitch in the forum software!
That didn't work either after checking and also replied to another newbies's topic.
@TurboSnail If you look back in the thread you will see the answer ?
Thanks I understand what mvs7 was saying. but still too hard headed and trying to figure out other possibility .

If you have a low PM count, look at the number of incoming PM's and it will equal your "Visits" count.
I have tracked mine sice the OP and this is the only activity that the counter correlates to.

Feel free to PM me and I will track activity and proof my hypothesis.

Well, some good has come out of this thread. My visit count hasn't gone up, but Insider2 got a new wheelchair.
Pete
