Ha ha. I just like the look of them. If they stop soon I can build a nice frame to display them all without taking up a whole wall. Of course I would have to pay up to get the first few cards I missed.
Seems they used up most of the big bullets in the first few months, including the hot rookies...me personally, I was only buying the guys like Andujar, Ohtani, Torres, etc....
They reloaded this bullet. If I'm not mistaken this is the first repeat player due to switching teams. That is supposed to be the only way this can happen.

Ya never know Kris - we might just see him again some time?

Almost 28 thousand! That's quite a haul for Topps.
Even at 5 bucks per that's like 140K gross on "one" card!
Since you mentioned it I calculated an estimated gross for the Living Set in total. They have sold 1,064,730 cards in total through card #180. If we estimate that at $5 a card they have grossed a minimum of $5,323,650. It's obvious by the print runs a lot of people just buy single cards of their favorite players, rookies, etc. at $8 each so they have likely grossed a lot more than that.
Looks like Messi’s UCL Living Set was 3,512. Not sure if the cat’s out of the bag or if it’ll experience the same type of “missed the boat” frenzy that we saw with the low numbers of the baseball Living Set (though presumably on a smaller scale due to the smaller population of soccer card collectors)...
I have been watching a few of the earlier cards because I was late to the game and missed a few. The prices really have gone all over the place on some of them. I was hoping things would level off and stabilize at some point. Overall the prices have come down from when I first realized I had missed out so I guess that is a good thing.
It's hard to say, but Topps has put out several reprint sets/inserts over the years. 1996 Topps had a set of reprints. 2008 Topps had some. I believe 2010 Topps had some reprints as well. They must have some sort of agreement or can make one when needed.

I'm not a statisticologist, but The Living Set print run seems to be on a steady decline.
Kris
My 1971 Topps adventure - Davis Men in Black
Looks that way Kris.
The spikes - 15K or more - are due to major players:
Judge
Ohtani
Acuna
Torres
Soto
Ruth
Rivera (more like 9K)
I'm sure the set will jump the shark and go away.
For me? I've enjoyed collecting it. If I were at all concerned about ROI? I'd probably invest in gold coins or something?

The next 3 weeks - how fast it goes.
I like some of the art this week - IROD and Verlander e.g. - nice job
Congratulations to Topps - One Year!
So, Stan the Man is in the 52nd set produced by Topps.
I wasn't sure whether the set would last this long?
Still here but it's down to around 3k of each card per week.

Another 3 weeks have passed.
I like Randy's pic - she interpreted his appearance as quite friendly - not the guy you face at the plate.
@Stone193 - I agree on the Randy Johnson. Surpassed the 3K print run as well.

A little star power caused a few spikes in the print run.

They are now offering a UCL Living Set for soccer fans. Now’s the time to get in - #1 (Messi) is this week!

Last day to get your Vlad Jr. We'll see what kind of records this one breaks.

Just released today. Thought some of the folks who like/collect Hofers might be interested in this one!
.
When I bought the set - I did pick up a few extras - thought she did a good job on him.
I bought this card back around 1992 (low cert #) - one of my favorites - don't have his RC unfortunately.
Howie Kendrick has the new lowest print run in the Living Set at 2633. Nick Markakis had the previous lowest print run at 2678.

Would be cool if they offered some of these cards autographed.
Tho a "NOW" product - I want to put this card here - my best snag from Topps - not in a boxed run.
Just got the set in Kris.
Hadn't noticed the low print run.
The "sold" price for the card or set is all over the place.
Some have paid 5 while others 50 or 60?

If anyone is just getting started on the set, I am looking to move a 61-card lot ranging from #7-#127. LMK, PM works best.
Another 3 weeks have passed - here we go:
All and all, I think she did a nice job on Griffey Jr for this week.
I was surprised.
I thought the print run for Griffey Jr would've been higher?
I would have expected more love for the kid. At least 10k if not 20k.
Any predictions on who we might see for card #200???

I was wondering Kris.
Does Topps have a contract with the Mantle family?
It's hard to say, but Topps has put out several reprint sets/inserts over the years. 1996 Topps had a set of reprints. 2008 Topps had some. I believe 2010 Topps had some reprints as well. They must have some sort of agreement or can make one when needed.
This is an example of what it might look like:

Thanx for the links Kris.
I hope they still have an agreement - would be a cool copy to have in my binder.
I don't think I pulled a 53T chrome in '96? Will have to look. I did do the 93T archives set tho.
Another 3 weeks have passed - at least - if anyone is interested? I believe all the cards - *to date - are here.
Will be interesting to see how many opt for the Trout card?
Interesting they have checklist cards now. It looks like you can only get them in the 3 card pack.
Kris
My 1971 Topps adventure - Davis Men in Black
Wow - not surprised that 22 thousand cards were ordered!
Trout was the 5th highest print run.

The next 3 wk installment of Topps Living:
The print run continues to be pretty flat.
The team distribution seems decent.

Print runs are low but I'm still continuing Kris.
Same here. I think a lot of them are really well done.
Kris
My 1971 Topps adventure - Davis Men in Black
Mike, glad to see you are keeping the faith!
Print runs are meaningless for those that are trying to build the set. This is still one of the best things Topps has done in many years, IMO.
Thanx Robert.
Very cool concept. I missed the boat.

Since I am not a set builder I stick to HOF players I like for the most part.
Perfect timing!
Here's the next 3 weeks of stars.
Note: Cavan's RC is right next to his HOFer dad.
