There are a lot of toned 1967 Canadian dollars. Any piece that was left in the plush Proof set box toned, but it usually isn't pretty.
As for the op, I don't think is natural, but the photo may have juiced to make the colors brighter.

Yes, the blue plush boxes with the gold coin produced nice toning on the silver coins.
I'm pretty sure that's natural.
I'm always suspicious if the blue-red toning transition like this, especially when it covers the devices and fields (different hardness) uniformly.
