Started from $1295 and now on waiting game. I already have a very nice 1921 MS 62 OGH with a good luster; trying to spend a little work bonus on an upgrade. Thank you for your comment.
Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I would check out the Greysheet or PCGS Coinfacts on current auction records. I thought those were worth around $800 in 64. I sold one a while back that was also cac and older holder for that.
She is not ugly. Lots to like there..... but the price is maybe too high. I’d be less concerned about your ability to get out of it OK if she was wearing a sticker. That’s just how it is.
Looking again, it’s nice coin. It’s something you’re just going to have to decide.
Can't have too many nice 1921 Peace dollars. I agree with the others that the price is an 'end of the rainbow' kind of price. But if you really like it then I'd go for it. I have paid full-blown retail, many times, for coins that I really like and that I plan to hold. I do think it's a nice coin.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍
FWIW five 1921 Peace dollars in PCGS 64 sold this month via auction. Low of $528 and a high of $840. A PCGS 64+ CAC sold for $900.
Anyways I just think you could do better aesthetically for the price. It's your dough so you get the final vote.

There are quite a few on collectors.com , not Mint State for $900 of course. The High Relief is not part of the 7070 Registry Set, so it will be a "nicety" rather than "necessity".
If it won't cac it really isn't worth over $800, though I have seen a lot of dealers at shows fishing around for high retail based on the grade (or potential "gem" grade alone). Strike, luster, eye appeal, holder.

Could not agree more; those advertised as "upgrade potential" already have the "potential" factored in the price
I checked Greysheet which is now at around $675, so I would wait for the best deal to come along, look for older holders as "new age" grading is a problem for the hobby.

If he countered $975 then you should walk away and keep looking.
I'd walk away from that price, even though it's fairly well struck. I got a well struck MS-64 in an auction a few years ago and paid just less than $800.
You should be able to pick one up for under $700. Check with our host PCGS as they list recent auction prices on their web site. There were a few that sold for just over $600 in major auctions just last month in PCGS MS64 grade.
It looks nice, but I'm not sure it looks great. That said, the photo is one where I think the in-hand appearance will be a bit different based on how exactly the lustre is on the coin (whether it's stronger, or whether it's glossy as the photo seems to indicate).
I bought my MS64 in 2012, so it's probably not fair to base pricing on what I paid then (I'm assuming prices have gone up... if not, I got a steal, since I paid well below the numbers being quoted here). The strike on my coin is excellent, and while it's got a bit more chatter than the piece you showed, I think the color and lustre are more attractive. Point being, if you're going to pay a strong price, I'd probably hold out to get more coin for that price.
I think this is one of those you could do better but you could do much worse situations. IMO That coin is definitely better than a $600 64, is it a $900 one? I don't know...
Two things I learned here; I really like the OPs coin and I didn't realize nice coins like the OP bought are $750 retail.
The op coin is very nice, even if it was $150 more than ($*#) whatever, besides I have been know to bet 10x that amount and more in a hand of Blackjack.
That seems a bit expensive for that coin.... I have been looking at these lately (they are all expensive right now)...I would like more hair detail than shown.... Guess I will just stop looking for a while, let the market cool a bit. Cheers, RickO

I decided to stop pursuing the initial coin and on the next one; a fun low bidding and almost no risk.
Here's an AU with almost as much detail. Is it a High Relief example? Aren't all 1921 Peace $s High Relief coins? There's one website showing there are only 10 known. http://coinauctionshelp.com/peace-dollar-value/
And PCGS chart says they have graded 19,546 in all grades. Also and I'm just guessing here but does PCGs have an Ultra High Relief label?

I think that coin might have some surface issues not fully apparent in the pictures. I would not pursue that one very hard, your OGH 62 is a far superior coin to that one IMO

Yes, all 1921 Peace Dollars are high relief. I'm not really sure why PCGS puts it on the slab, there is no need other than to emphasize it is a separate type from the 1922-35 years.

They complicate the matter for newcomers by having some state high relief and not others, for no apparent reason.

Agree with Wabbit2313. You should be able to get a nice MS64 at auction for under $700 even after paying a 20% buyers fee.
This one just sold for $840, judging from the pictures, I'd rather have the one posted in the OP. Poke around on here for a while https://www.pcgs.com/auctionprices/details?r=7356&v=Peace&dv=1921&pf=MS&si=0&c=26&po=1

$900 would definitely be an end-collector type price to pay. But if you love it and plan to hold it for many years I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
Blow up the fifth picture on the Ebay listing. Is there a scratch in the center of her hair?

Seller seems to be trying to charge an extra $200 for the color on that first coin.
If its the color of that coin you like, I would buy this instead. Strike is not as good but its less money and its a 64+ with similar color as the op. If its the strike you like or a combo of the 2, I still think you can do better. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1921-Peace-Dollar-MS64-19981941-PCGS/312055744664?_trkparms=pageci:f5daa615-23da-11e8-9ec8-74dbd1807ade|parentrq:0c83f36f1620a861b345d21dfffd3e77|iid:1&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236
