NEWP- If two heads are better then one then what are three heads better then?

Ok I also collect macabre themed medals and tokens. For the record I’ve never pulled a wing off of a butterfly. I picked this up today at Long Beach from CRO who was holding it for me. I wanted to reholder it skull side up.

It’s also being regraded.
It will live in the same box as this

Great looking medals, both of them. I saw them in John's Early Bird email and knew they wouldn't last long.
Congrats

Very cool!
Skull side up. Wonder if PCGS has ever seen that written on a submission form?
Way cool ... you think it might fit in a normal size slab? ... seems close ....
Those are some nice Skull's & Chopper's.
I thought skulling was a Summer Olympics event!
For posterity

The one skull on your new coin reminds me of this!

3 can keep secret if all 3 are dead!

Awesome triplets!
Nice, I like it !!!
I remember seeing it on CRO's website.
Sweet piece! Congrats on the purchase.
Super cool item!
It amazes me that things that old still exist in that kind of condition. Over the years it should have been pulled out countless times for show and tell and to show friends.
great medals!
I had noticed the piece hiding in Atlas’s extensive inventory a few weeks before it showed on CRO early bird. Their usually thin descriptions said the Man depicted was a scientist who studied races and the medal depicts three different races skulls and their differences. I guess they would know.
Neat piece, I figured you would be all over it.
Ausgezeichnet!
You must have quite an eclectic collection, from what I remember of some of your other acquisitions.

Very cool pieces.... That is the type of macabre piece I would pick up at a show..... I just like weird things like that. Cheers, RickO
That one is an awesome piece with great toning! I've had a few in bronze, and always love getting them in stock, along with other skull/skeleton tokens and medals. If you're looking for more info on the type, here is a brief article I wrote about them for the e-sylum: http://www.coinbooks.org/v21/esylum_v21n05a28.html

Today’s Topic: 諺 / ことわざ / Proverb
Kanji: 三人寄れば文殊の知恵
Kana: さんにんよればもんじゅのちえ
Translation: Three heads are better than one.
Okay, so the English equivalent is “two heads are better than one,” but the Japanese say three instead of two and, rather than comparing it negatively to one person, they compare three people favorably to a bodhisattva. In Buddhism, there is a Buddha (or “bodhisattva”) of Transcendent Wisdom named Mañjuśrī, or “文殊” in Japanese. This deity wields a flaming sword of wisdom that slices and dices through ignorance and hypocrisy.
