Grades in for some Buffs - PCGS still does color

Got these two in just in time for the quarterly special that ended in Dec for free truviews, and grades posted yesterday. I've seen a number of posts about tightening with color and technical grades, but feel these guys reflect that color is still ok and that grading is not being impossibly tight.
I will say, that having these in hand, they are stone cold, no questions original, and the T1 isn't a "nuclear rainbow monster...." at all, but does have a very distinct and prominent purple/blue hue all over the reverse, and some also showing up on the obverse.
Likewise grades are as expected, with the 37-D going 64+ and the 1913 going 65+. I'm a tad disappointed in the Truviews as the T1 has a much deeper obverse strike and the 37-D is a bit more colorful in hand.

Those two would be a great Type Set for the series!
Get ahold of Phil @PCGSPhoto and see if he has other images of these coins. I think that I remember him saying something along those lines...taking several images and choosing the best one.

Those two coins showing up together proves that opposites attract.............First year and next to last.
It seems like Type I Buffs appear with a lot more toning than other issues in the series. Of course, there were a lot more socked away for posterity being a first year issue.

That was the first thing I did when I saw the images. I got a quick reply stating this was the only image taken for this coin. Maybe you get what you pay for on a quarterly special....

I really like the natural color on your buffs. They add character even if it is contamination right @ricko

Lovely coins and I think you got the shaft on the 37-D grade!
