I have received that designation before from our host...but did not put that kind of "spin" on it.

Last time I sent in some ICG coins was 4/4 but I specified cross at any grade, got one notch down.

If you choose cross at any grade, every single coin should cross, but it would stink to cross to a details grade!

"Heavens to Murgatroyd." Haven't heard that in ages. Who made that popular? Whosaid that? Also....can't believe it got by my spellcheck. But it did.

  • HydrantHydrant Posts: 7,773 ✭✭✭✭✭

Looked it up. It was Snagglepuss on the Y-o-g-I the Bear cartoon show.

Spellcheck does Murgatroyd and Snagglepuss but not Y-o-g-I.
    Go figure.

To go the bear. To go bear. To go the bear and backgrounds and migrations. Migration and to go and backgrounds. Spellcheck?

I don't think crossing to a details grade is included with crossing at any grade. You'd have to specify "details ok" in addition.

Neither... Just trying to find another word reason that starts with R to make RNC

It was never my intent to write anything else... My sincere apologies if you took it the wrong way

We have all had submissions that did not go as planned... Sometimes our sense of humor adds a dimension that helps with our perspective.

Agreed. I used to list "ANY MS. I had a Trade dollar go from MS to AU. I then found out that you can't say ANY MS. If the word ANY is in there, all bets are off. In the meantime, my old ANA label trade dollar went down, and hard!

I agree with the Peace dollar going down. The half looks like it could have stayed the same.

Funny I was thinking the Peace should have definitely stayed a 64. My novice opinion of course. I find it very interesting the perception of others when looking at a coin. We all see things a bit different.

From the title, I thought you were going to say they gave your coin(s) to someone else and you should be ok with that.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

The 1822 definitely has AU characteristics, but someone had dipped the obverse a little. I paid $400 for the raw coin, NGC said "improperly cleaned" I used a little "Conserve" to get residue off, sent it to ICG which gave it the 50, then PCGS downgraded it. CAC did not sticker because "the look" collectors expect from their stuff doesn't include mild dippings.
