If someone had the means to buy 1 million coins I wonder if they'd make them jump through a bunch of hoops to buy them.

Can ASEs be purchased directly from an authorized purchaser or do I have to go through the "middle-ma/en"?

I'm sure that's possible. FYI the A.P.'s are the middle ma/en. You can buy direct from APMEX, A-Mark & coins 'N things (on eBay: baypreciousmetals) ...(Those are some of the big PLAYERS on eBay...Not sure about the rest.

You can buy from APMEX and Fidelitrade directly....AMark if your order is large enough, or one of their associated companies.

    Oh

And APMEX is an authorized purchaser and sell direct. However there are several small fish sellers that are NOT an AP who sell under APMEX

Shop around and don't get hopeful for a major kill on price.

You'd likely need to be a dealer in order to get their best pricing or as a non-dealer be willing to buy in dealer quantities.

I have purchased rolls from MCM whose name I did not see on the list of 12. I assume MCM gets their stock from one of the 12 listed above?? No big deal, I was just curious if the "Big 12" sold direct to collectors or if there has to be middle men involved. I appreciate the replies.

As mentioned previously in this thread , some sell directly.

Minimum order on Pt and Pd is only 100 ounces. Kind of surprised it's that low.

because no one wants any , the AP's would revolt if the limit was higher. Imagine getting stuck with 1000 ounces of that dreck :D

Surprised there is always such a hefty premium on platinum eagles when the AP cost is only 1% higher than a gold eagle.

Plat premiums always seem about double but must confess I don't look all that hard for a deal. Guess it must have to do with the hundred ounce minimum and time it takes to move compared to 1,000 ounces of AU.
