Which reverse do you find most attractive?
Talking esthetically here as the small eagle is pretty certain to be rarer.

When I get my 18th Century Silver Dollar it will have the Heraldic Eagle. (1799/8 $1 15 Reverse Stars)

I like the small eagle.... though not to the exclusion of other designs.... I really like the eagle on the new palladium coin....The 'true to life' depictions are always better. Cheers, RickO

Just think. If Ben Franklin has gotten his way they would have been turkeys!! Glad he lost that vote. I like the Heraldic design best, but both are keepers

I used to like the Heraldic MUCH more. Now, I've learned to appreciate the small eagle version. I guess Heraldic is still my favorite, though, as it looks more official.

    Small eagle for me

I like the small eagle better and after trying can't put into words exactly why so I'll just say "just because".

The 1795 small eagle $5 and $10 reverse has always been one of my favorite coin designs. It's simple design pairs perfectly IMHO with the new republic and its nascent coinage.

I like the heraldic because it conveys a "take no prisoners" message.

I even wish they had left the arrows in the right talon.

Thinking only of silver coins, I voted for the Heraldic Eagle. But, on gold, I slightly prefer the Small Eagle design which is different than that on the silver coins.

I voted Heraldic, but love them both. I also like the Eagle on the Washington Quarter.

Now HERE is ....my... kinda eagle! ;):D

Course, the Bridgeport and Connecticut birdies are good too.

    OO-raw! :)

I voted Heraldic, mainly because of the some the higher grade pieces I have in my collection. The small eagle is often poorly struck, especially on the half dimes and the 1796 Quarter (The head is usually weak.) Small eagle reverse is better than most of what came a bit later.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Don'cha got no better ones? :D

Afraid I come down on both sides of the fence. The small eagle is more dynamic and folk-arty; the heraldic more imposing and patriotic. They're like 2 sides of the same coin. :)

I'll accept either -- if it's on my coin. :)

I like the small eagle better, but the large eagle is definitely nice looking.
