Jacksonville had this game won. They choked. You could see it coming in the 4th quarter. The vaunted defense spit the bit when it mattered most and Bortles could not make a play when he needed to. That's why Bortles is Bortles and Brady is Brady. I thought when Jax got that late TO on the Lewis fumble they may have had a shot, but anyone watching that game knew what the final result would be including the players on the field.

after that strip fumble why did that guy stop running? he was wide open to the endzone. Even if the whistle blew , on replay I saw no reason he was down. Run to the end just in case and let them take the TD away if they want.

But these whiners are usually the same people who constantly pat themselves on the back because they "stopped" watching NFL games all because of a two minute silent protest before the game. These people gotta remind everyone of their NFL sacrifice as if anyone else really cares that some random guy here or there stopped watching NFL games because they don't.

Something like five years ago Brady was injured in the second game of the season and was out for the season. The backup was Matt Cavenaugh (sp) who led the team to something like an 11 and 5 season. The Patriots didn't win it all, but they were a play-off team. Since the Cavenaugh has been a back-up with other teams.
The season before this one Brady was suspended for four games. For the first two games Garoppolo won those two games before he was injured. The Pats won the third game win the third string quarterback. One commentator joked Belichick could put a helmet on a broom and sent out to play quarterback. The third string came in with an injured throwing hand for the fourth game. With essentially no one to play quarterback, the Pats were shutout for the first time in years.
Belichick is the best coach ever. He is a master at making half time adjustments and a genius at personal. He does it year after year with the low draft picks winners get. And yes, Brady is great, perhaps the best quarterback ever, but Belichick is the most important element in the Pat's success.

Gronk takes a helmet to helmet shot which knocked him into next week.Flag thrown, right call.
You want to say these clear cut penalties cost the Jags the game? How about the Jaguars offense managing just a couple FGs in the 2nd half to go along with 3-4 three & outs. Belichick is a great coach, arguably the best of all time (Lombardi has a case), but Brady is the one making the plays on the field so he deserves, and rightfully so, a great deal of credit, too. I would say that both individuals are the key to New England's success.

This is where the officials most clearly altered the game. If they had let that play continue, as they should in that situation because replay can fix it, Jack almost certainly scores, it's 27-10, and the game is over with the vaunted defense having made the nail-in-the-coffin play. Jack was never touched after gaining possession and the TD would have stood. Jacksonville had plenty of other opportunities to win the game, and they must shoulder the blame for losing, but that was a major gaffe in officiating. It's also impossible to believe that the Patriots committed no penalties on offense or defense; yet no flags were thrown.

The Brady vs Belchick debate has been beat to death over the years here in New England but i've always looked at it as they are both great in their own right but together they're unmatched in history.
Belichick has been able to make play-calls or roster moves over the years knowing he has Brady who could bail him out at times.
Brady has had the luxury of having arguably the greatest football mind ever coaching his football team and finding the perfect pieces to fit into his system for Tom to work with on offense.
Neither would ever had anything close to this type of success without the other standing on the sidelines with him.

Belichick coached in the NFL for eight years before there was a Tom Brady. There was zero to suggest he was a great coach at that time. He won nothing prior. The Super Bowls happened on Brady's arrival & during his tenure. Brady is the key to the Pat's Dynasty not the other way around. Bill is a great coach and for sure they drive this Patriots train together but Brady is the lynchpin.

For sure he could have advanced the ball if the whistle didn't blow. He was 65 yards away so hard to say for sure he would have scored or if he would have been tackled or push out of bounds a long the way. Besides when the whistle blew everybody stopped including Jack. Those whistles happen every week in the NFL. If I was a Jacksonville fan or player I for sure would have wanted to see that play unfold. The last thing they needed was a 3 and out and that's what happened

I would include Tom Landry in that list of great coaches.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

In reference to NE,the team. Let's not forget/hear it for the other team members. Especially Brady's offensive linemen who make the Brady skills possible to shine.
"""The NFL rejected an ad from a veterans group that wanted to publish in its Super Bowl program.
The full page ad from AMVETS would have featured a military honor guard holding an American flag and the text #PleaseStand at the top of the page. After many NFL players chose to kneel in protest during the singing of the National Anthem before football games, the ad called on players to stand. It also solicited donations.
The NFL said it rejected the ad because it made a "political statement."
"The Super Bowl program is designed for fans to commemorate and celebrate the game, players, teams, and the Super Bowl," said NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy in the statement. "It has never been a place for advertising that could be considered by some as a political statement." ""
Bill Parcells resigned as the New England coach because,"He could not pick the groceries." In other words he could not pick the players he wanted. Maybe that was Belichick's problem in his prior coaching assignments. It takes more than one player to win a football game regardless of how good that player is.
How did the Patriots go 10 and 5 without Brady in 2008? How did they win three out of four games without him in 2016? The one game they lost was played with an injured third string quarterback.
There should be a channel for guys like you that just shows anthems 24 /7 , no games to distract you
