Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
They secret is in the eyebrow.
3 has the freshest one, ergo, the least wear.
Also to dissent from others, I believe 3 hasn't been dipped.
If I'm the finalized, 3 gets the plus.
But it's an image on an iPhone so I reserve the right to be wrong.
We're all born MS70. I'm about a Fine 15 right now.
Cool post......here's my take...from my experience, when I submit a run of nice coins of the same date/MM the best grade ALWAYS goes to the least deserving coin. Now, I don't know if these coins were submitted at the same time, but if they were, I'd say it's coin 2. Has the most wear, but flashy dipped luster the boys prefer.
Coin 3 also has too much wear IMO to warrant a +, so I'll go with the coin that appeals to me the most, Coin #1.
Oh, I agree with those who don't think any of these deserve a 58+ but I bet it's number 1. The photo technique might be over-emphasizing the little ticky-tack things that aren't really noticeable in-hand.
That's probably true with all of them! While the pictures were taken at different times...the lighting and settings were the same. The only thing that disappoints me is coin number 3 is a bit whiter than my picture. Sometimes my camera seems to want to add a golden hue....while it may have a hint...but not like the picture.
I think my counter has rolled over 3 times now...31K+ pictures. Off topic but does anyone know how many pictures a middle of the road camera can take before craping out?

Door #2.
Number 1... I hope?
None of them. They all have too many small dings to warrant the designation.
Just go with it 291fifth... Many newer AU58+ coins can be topped with finding really nice older graded AU55's.
Sounds like more gradeflation to me.
I will go with door #3
Hoard the keys.
Number One
Successful transactions with : MICHAELDIXON, Manorcourtman, Bochiman, bolivarshagnasty, AUandAG, onlyroosies, chumley, Weiss, jdimmick, BAJJERFAN, gene1978, TJM965, Smittys, GRANDAM, JTHawaii, mainejoe, softparade, derryb, Ricko
Bad transactions with : nobody to date
3.
Very subdued luster, but, the luster is present.
Less marks on the obverse.
1 & #2 - too many marks on the obverse of both coins.
None of them judging by the photos.
Look in the field in front of Liberty's eye!
If you click on the pictures you can blow them up big time!
I'm going to say 3 because it has the most original skin.

2
None of these are original skin as they have all been dipped at least once.
2.
I don't like any of them for a 58 much less a 58+. Too many marks on all of them.
1
Your too used to dimes!
They are all nicer in hand!

I know, but I've seen Dimes in 58 holders that don't meet my standards also.

Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
I'll go with 3...
Successful BST transactions with: SilverEagles92; Ahrensdad; Smitty; GregHansen; Lablade; Mercury10c; copperflopper; whatsup; KISHU1; scrapman1077, crispy, canadanz, smallchange, robkool, Mission16, ranshdow, ibzman350, Fallguy, Collectorcoins, SurfinxHI, jwitten, Walkerguy21D, dsessom.
2 seems to have a little more 'pop' than the others, so I will go with that one.
3 is the most appealing, but the + probably went to #2.
Doug
All of them.
I like 'em, especially #2.
Of the three, number two has the least amount of contact marks...that I see.

I'll guess #2
This should be interesting!

Numero uno; least amount of friction.
I am going to say that number two is the 58+, the reverse looks UNC to me.

Hopefully it isn’t that headlight, also known as number 2. Need sunglasses for that one

I will go with 2.
1 and 3 detail grades
Everything is all right!
