Hello
I recently acquired a small hoard of U.S. and Canadian Coins. I already posted in the world forum for help with the Canadian and some other miscellaneous world Coins. Most of these coins and tokes are from the 1700’s through the 1800’s.
Can you please tell me what the best approach would be to identify and value these coins here on this forum?
Should I list a half dozen at a time or just one or two at a time in separate threads?
Please let me know and I will get busy taking pictures and posting.

Welcome, and I would love to see any US coin you have from the 1700s. Any gold?

    Show us some pictures. :)

I believe this one is a token.

This is a Hard Times Token; grade looks around EF-40 or AU-50.
If you have several similar to this, you can look up the type at:
    pw1.netcom.com/~jhm/htt/images.htm
Yours above looks like the type "Low-40".
Then you can use the type for an ebay search on sold items to estimate value.
(Although experts here may also help estimate value).
Thanks for posting pretty clear photos of both sides.

Cool project. I’d recommend posting everything in the same thread. Less clutter on the board that way. Many of us only look at threads on page 1.

Okay will do. It will all be under this thread. I will edit the title accordingly.

Norway (under Sweden until 1905), 2 Ore, Copper, 1877, ruler Oscar II.

Krause suggests this is a common coin.
