I saw Air-Tite offers all their holder sizes looped for ornament usages.

Curious if anyone has decorated a tree with their collection? :p

Not with as many "rug-rats" running around the house...sure fire way to "lose" some of the collection.

My wife bought a few silver rounds as ornaments a few years back. IIRC, they’re in something like an Air-Tite holder. Can’t remember what they were commemorating. They should be making an appearance again within a few days. :)

Back in the day ,I bought a bronze set of the 12 days of Christmas ornaments made by the Franklin Mint. They have been unused most times. A few years ago my wife wanted to put them on the tree and we did. Most of the time I forget about them.

Years ago Hallmark issued a series of ornaments that featured the State Quarters. They had the quarter mounted in the middle with various symbols and images of state surrounding it. I have one from Delaware, which was my native state and Massachusetts which was my wife’s home state. We hang each of them on the tree. I’ll grab pictures if there is any interest.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Good point as I wasn't even thinking about that as I have nieces and a nephew all under 5 that had me re-gluing a bunch of ornaments the last 2 years.

First colorized coin I ever bought. Ho-ho-ho...

BackroadJunkie, That's really nice thanks for posting.

I agree some seriously beautiful Morgan’s coming from his way. Gorgeous Morgan’s ;)

I have not considered hanging coins as decorations.... since my wife 'tolerates' my coin hobby, and no one else would see it, probably will not do it. Though I do like @BillJones decorations.... An entire tree with $20 AGE's in airtites would look great. @lordmarcovan could decorate an entire tree with his holey collection... ;) Cheers, RickO

"Hanukkah gelt" (coin design stamped on golden foil, chocolate centers) is effective. Just make sure you have enough to last 8 days. ;) Menorah extra. ;);) And consider: there's none of that messy clean-up from a tree. :)

I have a couple of the colorized ASE's...... Gifts from my Mother. She knew I collected coins, but never understood anything about them... would save all her cents from change for me to review for valuable one's.
They are special to me and will always be part of my collection. Cheers, RickO

I have one too. Gift from Mom, so I still have it.

On the other hand, she once handed me around 25 '64 Kennedy halves she had around for years, so she isn't all bad...

    Ho-ho-ho...

The small, white Christmas Tree lights are very effective in showing the contrast between mirrored fields and frosted devices on Cameo and DCAM silver proofs.

How about a Xmas tree with these lights decorated with Cameo and DCAM 1964 Proof Half Dollars. Such a Christmas Tree would have lots of eye appeal and "pop".

Sorry no pics, but back in the 90s-2000 (or thereabouts) the Mint sold a series of ornaments featuring every regular issue from the cent through the Sac $. I believe I have them all. We put them on the tree every year.

The only way I'd do something like that:

take images of my best toned coins, print the images out, cut out the coin part and hang that on the tree.
