Awesome coin. Are the obverse bumps under the bust by the date common for this year or series? What would cause that effect with the dies?

As the saying goes: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." I prefer coins with a more artistic rendition.
Care to post examples?
There are literally hundreds, unfortunately not many are in the classic coin category. As an example, the one below, in my old eyes is artistically well done a beautiful coin. As I said previously, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
"Bongo drive 1984 Lincoln that looks like old coin dug from ground."
I like modern pieces but if given a choice would take the 1833 just for the history. Design has come light years. Here is one with Hologram from my new China Set. Who knows what this coin would look like 200 years from now but we can see the beauty retained in @KollectorKing example for sure. Great coin to me.
Depends on how you define "wrong." It's fine for most people, just not for me.
I agree with You Posts on this one. I like it very much. But I can see how others might not. I see fabulous toning, patina, etc. That's just me. Others see tarnish, too dark, etc. That's cool too. To each his own. I like it!

It is from the 35th anniversary Gold and Silver Panda set. Pricey for the per gram cost but beautiful. I wont mention who I bought it from LOL because last time I did, I got flagged as an abuser. The rug came with my apartment

I agree with you on the Panda wholeheartedly........the problem I have (it's just me) is that we already get too much stuff from China. Good or Bad.

the Secure Plus image does not show the coin's true colors & beauty.
Yes die rust. Very typical
Nice coin, too bad about the mark in the field.

Lightly dipped a long time ago and then retoned, not for me
There is nothing wrong with this coin.

Is this one of the earliest clashed die quarters produced by the U.S. Mint?
SUPERB example. Thank you for sharing.
Nice coin!

Nice coin, properly graded. But Bust quarters in XF or better sure are hard to sell unless you have earlier dates.
Nice coin.
Here’s my example of the variety:
A nice coin for the type and variety..... well preserved outside of a few dings.... Cheers, RickO

Not my look. What makes collecting fun is the diversity of looks that collectors prefer.
These types of threads rarely work out for the seller.
You just open an invitation to the good and the bad that otherwise would never be said.

I like the circulated, album toned example.

Bottom line, I post what I like, period.
I do like the bust quarter, but also agree it appears to be a retone.

Wow, this coin did poorly in auction. $679 eBay.
