My kids gave me one of these for Hanukkah a few decades ago.
So your $23,637.50 counter-offer was refused, and you think people here are clever enough to distinguish irony without emoji's?

Where is my old favorite ":headslap;'?
Crusty dreck at that!
Are you sure you know what dreck is? If you think that's dreck, you're meshugga!
If you think that's dreck, your opinion is scheisse
Heck fire I would take their "underling" of the OP at $23.5K...as a gift!

Dreck only a true dreck lover can appreciate.... According to the dictionary....
dreck or drek
[drek]
noun, Slang.
1. excrement; dung.
2. worthless trash; junk.
Just give me all that dreck... I will gladly remove it from sight so no one is further offended by the very sight of it..... Cheers, RickO
the only true expert today in confirming even a scintilla of dreck happens to be the illustrious Laura S.
What would be cac acceptable criteria for HR Saints like this?
My opinions tend to be scheiße when habe eine Katze
Zayt nisht meshuge!
I have had an excellent relationship with Northeast Numismatics for many years, and I take exception to your "more dreck" comment. It is unfair and dishonest to make the insinuation that Northeast sells lots of “dreck.” They sell many excellent coins. Some of them are in my collection.
Beautiful coin, much nicer than the example i don't have. Wish it were.

I've got two "Omega's" to scratch that itch. I had three, but an acquaintance bugged me for years to sell $,$$$ one to him.
Love Northeast Numismatics.
You get a "You Schlock" award for that one.
I've only bought from them once, 10 years ago. But I still have the coin and it's a keeper.
As for the coin in the OP it looks very nice. A shame about the thigh cut and some minor rim issues.
Maybe it's the image but it doesn't look like the wire rim shows around the entire circumference.
Lance.
For those of you with no sense of humor, the dreck comment was in jest. The coin is a totally beautiful classic American design that most people love. Note my comment on the bottom of the post. Sheesh people lighten up. And I love to peruse Northeast's web offers. Keine schieise. Ja Ich vherstehen.
Dreck is not Scheiße. So, what's the difference?
Dreck is in the "I" of the beholder
Almost none of the Wire Rim coins have an entire wire rim around both sides, and most of the so-called Flat Rim coins have traces of a wire rim as well. I think this is a distinction that is overdone. I say this especially having cataloged a lot (dozens) of "Wire Rim" Saints during my time at Heritage.
Kind regards,
George
Unfortunately, you put a derogatory term in the title of your new topic and linked the name of a business firm with it. The title is the most prominent area of a new topic. It is intended to catch people’s attention even if they don’t open the string. The tone in that title was not complementary.
Certain parties have used that derogatory term to criticize the business practices of other numismatic firms. The implication was that this was not the first time Northeast had sold such coins. The coin has been graded by NGC, and that firm does not get very much respect from some people who post here.
I don’t think that your post was funny. On the surface it was unnecessarily critical.
**It is an NGC graded coin that does not have a CAC sticker. Unfortunately there are some people here who will immediately label that coin as "dreck" because they say that it is over graded without looking at the facts. **
OMG, you need to chill. The OP's title is surely 1000% in jest - written I'm positive to reign in the likes of BillJones to see this uber cool classic. With life so complex as it is, can you not see it for what it really was?
Cheers
I certainly recognized the OP as being in jest.
I wish I had pockets deep enough for a coin like that.
